NKNGO Forum is a civil-level public diplomacy organization launched in November 2024, dedicated to resolving North Korea’s human rights issues and addressing the abduction issue through international cooperation among NGOs from South Korea, Japan, and the United States. The human rights abuses in North Korea and the ongoing abduction cases are not separate matters but pressing challenges that we must tackle collectively. To address these issues, international collaboration and civic-level diplomacy are more essential than ever.
North Korea’s recent military provocations and its military support to Russia pose a threat to the stability of Northeast Asia. In this climate, improving human rights in North Korea could increase the likelihood of reform, opening-up, and even denuclearization—factors that would undoubtedly have a significant impact on regional peace and stability.
Moving forward, NKNGO Forum will work with a diverse range of NGOs in South Korea, Japan, and the United States to build an international network and carry out various joint projects. Through our official website (NKNGO.ORG), we aim to provide information in multiple languages to raise global awareness of human rights issues in North Korea. Furthermore, we are committed to remaining politically neutral and to offering credible information, ensuring that our activities transcend any specific political stance.
We sincerely look forward to your support and participation.
